About The Garbage Truck

NY Comfort food with a twist

The Garbage Truck is one of the pizza food trucks listed in Charlotte, North Carolina. The business is registered at 1328 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28203; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 5 pm–2:30 am. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (980) 900-9214. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is garbagetruckfoodtruck.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 15 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza food trucks in Charlotte.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Lack of meat sauce and professionalism. 2 stars because you guys forgot to pour on the one thing on the menu that says MUST HAVE! The meat hot sauce. The thing that makes a garbage plate a garbage plate. We walked several blocks after receiving our order and it was very disappointing sitting down and discovering that there was no meat sauce. Y’all have a great concept. The garbage plate is amazing. But when we are your only customer at the window I expect the order to be correct and complete. The macaroni salad was very tasty and the home fries were cooked really well - but mac salad and home fries do not alone make a proper garbage plate. We also asked for condiments on the side and onions and those were omitted as well!! I’m all for ripping cigs if you’ve got the time, smoke em if you got em, but not at the cost of being attentive to a paying customer. At $16-$20 a plate, please be more professional and pay closer attention to the people who are willing to exchange their money for your product.
